Paris NFT Conference.
- From the talented Pauline Shrott’s perspective

NFTs are taking the art world by storm, and the NFT Paris conference is one of the largest and most prestigious gatherings of industry leaders, artists, and enthusiasts in the space. In this article, l share my experience attending the annual NFT Paris conference, highlighting the innovative and collaborative nature of the web3 community.
While Paris is known for its culinary delights, I found the food and service to be somewhat disappointing. However, this was quickly forgotten as I immersed myself in the conference's exciting lineup of speakers and panels.
What struck me most about preparing for the conference was the decentralized approach to the event schedule (believe it or not). Rather than relying on official schedules and events, attendees collaboratively fill in side events on a Google sheet (there must be a better way to share schedules…). While searching for the official conference website's side events tab, I found it empty and instead relied on the self-made Google sheet.
One of the conference's most impressive events was the women and non-binary NFT exhibition at the NFT Factory. The exhibition was organized by a group of leaders in tech and crypto, including MakersPlace, World of Women, Eyes of Fashion, and The Fabricant, and aimed to bring more attention to works by female and non-binary artists. It was inspiring to see the different NFTs projected on screens throughout the futuristic storefront.
I had the opportunity to meet and network with many like-minded individuals in the industry, including Georgia Andre, responsible for community and events for Makersplace, who shared her passion for showcasing art from a diverse range of artists and supporting their work. I also had an insightful interview with Christian Brown, a web3 founder with a remarkable story.
Overall, attending the NFT Paris conference was a transformative experience that demonstrated the power of collaboration and innovation in the web3 community.

An Artists Perspective on the Music Industry… And Why Web3 Might be the Answer.

The music industry is a thrilling, but daunting place. Alex has had the pleasure (and frustration), of releasing songs with major record labels, starting his own, garnering over a million streams on streaming platforms, and organizing tours for some of the world’s biggest DJ’s. He’s seen first-hand the immense power of social media, and streaming platforms to launch careers, as well as the opportunities that Web3 technology presents to independent artists.

And where exactly the opportunity lies for Web3.
Music is an industry where middlemen have traditionally been a necessity to fill the gaps needed to get music from artists to audiences. Labels and streaming services take a hefty cut, leading to less money for those who actually make the music.
Web3 will do it better; it’s going to be more efficient, it’s going to put royalties in the right place. Here’s how.

Decentralized Togetherness.

His journey from studying abroad to becoming a successful entrepreneur is a testament to the power of hard work, perseverance, and a willingness to take risks.
